10:29 am - read if you have a student loan!
Studens getting screwed on Tax

This was sent to me by a friend and i thought i would share it around. If you know its bollocks let me know and i will take it down.

Also i didnt write the statement below so don't blame me for the prose.

For most unsuspecting graduates who are paying back their student loans,

the inland revenue takes payments directly from your employer in the

same way as they take tax. i.e. the more you earn the more you pay, this

includes bonuses etc. However after taking monthly amounts the inland

revenue does not pay this directly to the student loan company, instead

they wait until the end of the financial year in April and then pay the

entire year off to student loans. The effect of this is that the inland

revenue hold on to your monthly payments for up to a year earning

themselves interest. During the same period, because student loans have

not received these funds, they in turn charge the graduate interest on

the outstanding amount even though it has been paid to the inland

revenue. Bottom line is that for those in this position we pay interest

to student loans on money which has been taken from our accounts which

the inland revenue keeps and earns interest on. Personally I didn't sign

up for this and it makes me MAD (alright - I didn't write this - so you're prob

thinking same as me here - calm down dear/son!!). Anyway, follow link below to

sign petition. Tony will probably only use it to wipe his arse or the cum from

George W's face but worth a whirl....

8:24 am - Quandry
Just a quick insite into being me.

I don't really want to be doing my job, yet i keep getting competative about it, and i keep getting annoyed whenever someone in my intake gets promoted ahead of me. Despite the fact its due to them having more motivation to do it as they want to stay there. Sometimes i really don't understand me.

On a side note, have been having this sense of guilt for feeling annoyed that a friend at work, who i always thought wasn;t as good at her job as me has got promoted ahead of me. ( i don;t know if my belief on our abilities is arrogance or realism.)But it seems at the moment everyone else if forging ahead with what they want to do, while im in a holding pattern.

I'm telling you all, don't get a job it will fuck you up.

peace out

8:40 pm - 6 random facts about me!
Only doing this cos i was tagged by Jess.

Here are six facts about me. I will try and think of original things you may not know.

1. I am not supposed to have any depth perception due to an operation on my eye as a child.

2.In Febuary 2005 I nearly died in a car crash. I honestly thought I was going to die, I can't remember anything about the crash except for having my hands in front of my face, and the though "oh shit im going to die" and then just waiting for something to him me and everything to go dark.

3. I once met Britains first astronought Helen Sharmen.

4. I have the same birthday as Morrisey - at least one of us will be having fun

5. I am enjoying living in London more than I ever expected

6. I would like to go back to Uni and do a PHD

I tag Nobby, Ertsgib and Geth to fill this in, but i am confident they will ignore me.

9:25 pm - the ramblings of an exiled northerner
Just got back from sunny Edinburgh this afternoon. Me and Angela went up thier for a few days, sort of delayed summer holls and we both needed to get out of london for a bit.

Anyway Edinburgh is fantastic. I loved the old town, something about how it towers over everything else in all its gothic glory.

We hit all the usual spots, Castle, Zoo - see the differencs in taste in our relationship, and the camera obscura which was coolio and i may need to get one installed in my own home.

I'm going to slob out till Mon and then get back to crushing myself on the wheels of our capitalist system.

Toodle Pip

P.s. Adam/J i may phone you soon. Im jonesing for a trip to see you both sometime soon.

9:43 pm - London Calling!
Ok, I have a request. Before I start I fully and freely admit that the genesis of this idea was caused by me being alone with my warped mind to long as Angela is away for the weekend and not exerting her usual positive influence.

I have decided to ammuse my self by creating a mix cd.

What I need is for each of you to suggest one track that you really love regardless of genre, but is unlikly to be found in someone elses music collection.

Basically obscure but cool songs which i will then collect into one place.

If I get any response I may post up the list of submitted songs.

As my taste runs to puck rock my submision is Speakers push the air by Pretty Girls make graves.

Let the submisions begin. :)

Peace Out

1:20 pm - What to do, What to do.
As you may have guessed from the fact that I'm posting from work I am having one of my headfuck moments.

I really want to do something this weekend, something shocking, revolutionary, different to jolt myself out off the rut I'm in.
Nothings to bad at the moment it just i cant find any motivation to do anything - particularly work and nothing seems new or interesting.

Not to give away my film tastes but I feel like a slacker kid who's waiting for their coming of age movie to start - teach me to watch Hackers last night.

Peace Out

I'm trying to think of something to write that isn't about work, because i'm boring myself every time I talk about it.
I appear to have entered a almost zen like zone of apathy. Everything at the moment seems so meeh its untrue. I really want something to get excited about but i don't know what. I cant think of anything i really want to buy/watch/read/listen/ to.

I think i need to get out of london for a bit, not permanently but at the moment me and angela have got ourselves into a sleep, work, eat sleep rut of meehness and I think we need to brake it. Ourweekend are spend doing sod all/ or more work.

My addled brain can't think of what I need to do.

There has to be more that just this, i think i am in desperate need of a evening in beer garden,

anyway i'm going to toddle off into my meehness.

current mood: melancholy
